As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this lovely condition and fine quality complete ivory inro set , decorated with Shibayama style semi precious stone and shells throughout the three components , the full and original set comprises a three case ivory inro decorated to the front elevation with a pheasent sat amidst a prunus blossom tree , the reverse depicts a smaller bird amongst native flora with a butterfly above , the inro is nicely signed to the underside in a mother of pearl tablet , accompanying the inro is an ivory inlaid Ojime bead and its matching two piece Manju netsuke , once again signed , all held together with a purple silk sash cord , most unusual to get these sets complete and with no Shibayama losses or inro damage, a great addition for your Japanese collection.
The condition is lovely with just a minor slither chip inside the Manju netsuke .
