As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this nice quality Japanese lidded box covered in a millifiori Shibayama style decoration , the box is formed from solid hardwood that has been smothered in semi precious stones and shells all finely carved by hand to a high standard , the box is signed in a mother of pearl tablet to the inner lid and would make a fantastic addition to any Japanese collection otherwise ideal as a trinket or jewellery box .
