As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this lovely Edo period (Circa 1860) Solid Shibuichi and mixed metal Tsuba , the subject depicts scenes of rats riding upon horseback and masquerading as Warriors amidst a rocky outcrop, the moon picked out in Silver behind a chiselled cloud , the reverse depicting a further mixed metal onlaid rocky outcrop , the Tsuba edged in gold, signed to the front in a two character signature which translates to read Yasuchika, a nice addition to your Tsuba , Samurai arms and armour or Japanese metalwork collection.
