As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this large high quality Meiji period 1868-1912, Bronze and mixed metal charger by the highly acclaimed artist Jomi Eisuke , the large and unusual plaque is tastefully and simply decorated with a hanging scroll above a spray of mixed metal onlaid Lillies , the scroll is an absolute masterclass of mixed metal techniques , the artist has rendered the picture itself in Shakudo and Silver giving the impression of a black and white landscape scroll painting depicting a high flowing waterfall within a mountainous landscape, the scroll borders come to life worked in mixed metal geometric pattern, as if they were actually woven Silk , fascinating detail even down to the Silver scroll holder at the base , and the further interior borders of Gold Chrysanthemum upon a Shibuichi ground , the scroll itself signed in a Silver double Gourd cartouche , as well as the charger being signed by Jomi Eisuke within a round Silvered seal , the panel would simply hang upon the wall or can be displayed using a perfectly fitted but associated 19th century pierced and carved wood base , a real statement piece for any room setting or great addition to your Japanese works of art collection .
