As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to bring you this huge floor standing Meiji Period 1868-1912 , circa 1880 Arita ware vase , the large and imposing vase is nicely painted in typical Arita blue palettes, decorated within an oval cartouche to each side are tranquil scenes of Manchurian Cranes at rest in a lakeside setting , the main body of the vase further decorated with huge three Clawed Dragons writhing amidst clouds upon Bamboo and other native Flora , the lower foot rim of the vase decorated with geometric banding whilst the flared neck is finely decorated with Birds in flight within geometric lappets , the large vase remarkably potted in sections in a wood fired kiln is signed to the underside by an artist working in Arita circa 1880 , made by Fujisaki of Hizen Arita. the breathtaking decorative beauty of this vase is a joy to behold , if you have a large floor area in your oriental inspired room or a low oriental stand , this would certainly brighten your setting and add to your Japanese works of art Ceramics collection .
