Dear Friends
Welcome to our November newsletter, usually a very busy month for us with the Asian art dealers, and in particular London geared up for the bi annual Asian art week, a period 31st Oct to Nov 9th where the galleries and auction houses feature numerous exhibitions and works for sale, with late night gallery openings, many laying on drinks and canapés. Together with specialist talks and events to entertain and indulge an eager audience, it really does have a great buzz, this year the period also overlaps with the Winter Olympia fair 5th – 10th Nov.
I very much look forward to visiting my good friends at the Japanese themed galleries, usually a quite sociable few hours spent having lunch or dinner with like minded and equally passionate colleagues, who may just offer up the irresistible opportunity to have a sneak preview at some very special market fresh Japanese works of art, often dependent on who buys lunch of course 🙂
Although we have no gallery or fair presence this year we have featured a simply breathtaking Solid Silver and mixed metal Dragon Okimono in the Asian art publication that supports the dealers and galleries during this event, the publication goes live towards the end of Oct and so coincides nicely as our featured item in the members area of our gallery.
