LARGE JAPANESE SATSUMA BOWL COMMISIONED BY THE IKEDA COMPANY

Following hot on the heels of our successful week at London Olympia comes the ever popular Summer “antiques for everyone” four day event at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, we have many fresh to the market Japanese works of art reserved for this event especially for our regular trade and collector audience, including this large and exquisite Japanese Satsuma bowl , the bowl was commissioned by the Ikeda Gomei Company of Kobe towards the end of the 19th century , decorated in a high quality millifiori style with a myriad of moths and butterflies surrounding a central panel depicting a brace of Pheasants perched above a waterfall, the bowl is immaculate and has been tucked away in an Australian collection for many years .

The show runs from Thursday the 21st through to Sunday the 24th July , if you still require complimentary tickets please contact us at: steve@steveslyjapaneseart.com , we look forward to seeing our many regular friends and welcome any new visitors to our stand number E20 in section 1.

Have a safe journey .
