As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this magnificent high quality Meiji period 1868-1912 Okimono of a striding Bear , the huge scale Bronze model has been cast in fantastic detail by the leading Meiji period bronze caster Genryusai Seiya ,an artist specialising in Animalia Okimono, the animal walking with his front left leg slightly turned in , exactly as you would see these magnificent beasts stroll in real life, the artist has rendered the Bear with a charming huge snout with his mouth slightly open but in a non aggressive manner , fantastic lifelike fur details throughout and artist sealed to the underside by Seiya arguably one of the leading Meiji period Animalia artists , a one off top drawer Okimono to seriously enhance any Japanese works of art collection .
