As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this super quality Meiji period Bronze Okimono of a performing Elephant upon a later carved and stained hardwood stand, the beast captured in a charming pose with one foot balanced upon a large ball, his skin rendered in great detail, his long trunk raised between his Ivory tusks aiding his balance , artist signed “Seyia”  in a square seal to the underside, a great fun yet high quality Okimono for your Japanese collection.

Condition report:

The condition of the Bronze itself is superb, our workshops have re polished the hardwood base.
