As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this most unusual shaped Meiji Period 1868-1912 cloisonne enamel vase, this elegant vase rises from a silver mounted base and terminates with a silver mounted rim upon a tall slender neck , each rim delicately decorated with formal borders, the main bulbous body of the vase is worked in traditional and flattened silver wire to great effect with a scene of an Ikebana floral display within a cart aside a four fold screen worked in traditional and flattened silver wire , the display resting within an exquisite backdrop of native flora , an absolutely delightful example of traditional cloisonne manufacture of the late Meiji period circa 1900-1910 , once again direct to us from a UK based Japanese works of art collection.
