As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this charming Meiji period 1868-1912 , circa 1900 reticulated Satsuma vase artist signed by Ryokuzan , the delightful vase is predominantly decorated with panels of native Flora including colourful Chrysanthemums , Peonies and mixed grasses beneath Bamboo , and between the formal borders , the potter has somehow managed to throw this vase with such a high level of skill and patience resulting in a shaped pierced honeycomb effect reticulated band throughout the central body , the well recorded artist Ryokuzan has then signed the underside in a gilt signature , a great addition to your Satsuma cabinet collection or as an ideal gift for a loved one .
