As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this high quality Meiji period 1868-1912 , circa 1900 , onlaid Silver and mixed metal vase signed by the artist “Katsuhide”, the artist has captured the moment a pair of Geese come in to land on a lakeside setting, the Geese finely detailed with mixed metal highlights including Shakudo and Gold, further floral details engraved in katakiribori carving and again highlighted in Gilt, the vase has a chiselled signature to one side translating to read “Katsuhide Koku” ( Made by Katsuhide ) and is stamped to the underside with the Jungin pure silver mark, the vase comes complete with a Tomobako for safe Travel, this fine quality Silver vase would make an ideal gift or fine addition to your Japanese works of art collection.
