As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this Large Edo period  (1615-1868) circa: 1780, Ivory Manju Netsuke depicting a coiled three clawed Dragon, this Kyoto school style Manju Netsuke has been finely carved from a wedge shaped slice of Ivory, the Dragon is intertwined amidst swirling clouds and waves, the Himotoshi formed to the underside between the swirling waves,  a high quality carving where decades of handling have left a beautiful mellow patination , a fantastic addition to your Japanese Netsuke or works of art collection.
