This super condition plate is decorated with three banners of individual scenes set within a colourful backdrop of geometric patterns and mixed flora including maple leaves and chrysanthemum, the three banners decorated with traditional scenes of bijin in gardens , folk attending a temple and a long tailed pheasant within flora, the circumference banded with a fine gilt diaper border, the rear bears a seal for the artist Ogurusu. A striking decorative addition to your Japanese Satsuma or ceramics collection.
