As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this very tactile 18th Century ivory Netsuke of a Shi Shi dog ,sometimes referred to as a Foo Dog , the finely carved animal rests upon a curved ivory base with the Himotoshi drilled through the middle , the Dogs fur and facial features exquisitely carved , in particular his mane and tail, he has all the attributes of a well handled and gorgeous coloured Netsuke from the Edo Period , a fine addition to your collection.
The condition is lovely with age related wear , no damages or restorations !
