As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this rare Meiji period 1868-1912  bronze Okimono of a writhing Snake , the artist has captured a very lifelike rendition of a long native Snake moving with its head up looking like it might be scouring for its Prey , the details of the scales and underside in particular are remarkably realistic ,the facial head and eye features particularly charming, the Snake displays in a sturdy pose with its mid body slightly elevated as if it were actually moving, although unsigned this is a fantastically rare and unique Okimono of the like we have not encountered before , a great addition to your room setting or Japanese works of art collection .
