As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this great pair of Japanese bronze okimono depicting two Tanuki , the bears are chiseled in very fine detail throughout and are very heavy for their size ,stood on all fours in a naturalistic pose they are very simillar sizes although one weighs 200gms more than the other , male and female i would imagine , they are both nicely signed by “SHOUSAI”in a cast seal to the underside.
The condition is lovely throughout.
