As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this simply crazy and unusual Meiji period Ivory Okimono , the artist has captured a Skeleton with a large Lotus plant tied to his back with a rope , the Lotus plant overflowing with a multitude of toads to the point that the Skeleton is sat down with his legs crossed , rather bizarrely there is a group of three Monkeys attempting to lift the weight of the Parcel of Toads from the Skeletons bones , the artist certainly had a vivid and very humorous imagination and has carved this entire scene from a single piece of Ivory , quite remarkable !! a great fun yet nice quality Okimono for your collection.
