As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this large and heavy quality solid Silver Tsuba from the late Edo early Meiji period , the oversized Tsuba (sword hand guard) is finely carved with a coiled scaly Dragon inlaid with gilt eyes , an absolutely super quality cast silver Tsuba artist signed by Hiraishi Yoshichika ,his dates not fully known , late Edo early Meiji circa 1850.
The condition is lovely and original with minor useage marks .
