As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this finely carved late 18th century Edo Period 1615-1868 , circa 1780 Ivory Netsuke , the carver has captured a Crab protruding from within a Hamaguri Shell , this group resting upon a large Hotate Clam shell, the Crabs bulging Eyes inlaid in stained Ivory,  the Himotoshi is formed to the underside of the piece , a very tactile and great colour 18th century Netsuke that would enhance your Netsuke or Japanese works of art collection , or make an ideal gift for a loved one .
