As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this charming Meiji period 1868-1912, circa 1900 solid shakudo lobed vase by the highly regarded Nogawa company, the vase made from an alloy containing a percentage of gold and perfected over the centuries by the Japanese metalworkers in order to create a magical blackish /blue patination, this complex lobed vase has been further inlaid with mixed metal floral decoration, painstakingly laid into the body of the vase in exquisite detail, signed to the underside with the Nogawa seal , a fantastic addition to your Japanese metalwork or works of art collection .
