As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this Japanese Edo period (1615-1868) Circa 1840 Ivory Netsuke depicting a crested Crane, carved with its head rested back in to its body, and its body carved in a simple manner, the eyes inlaid with horn, the Himotoshi formed to the underside, the colour of the crane has toned and patinated to a rich colour with the addition of multiple stable age lines , a very tactile well handled Netsuke with a good Provenance , a great addition to your Japanese works of art collection.
