As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this high quality Silver mounted Gold lacquer and Shibayama Tsuba, the scene to the front depicts a happy Courtesan entertaining Daruma, the pair sat drinking, eating and clearly having a good time, above them looking down is Oni amidst mountain scenes, the reverse depicting a tranquil and beautiful setting of Pheasants amongst Prunus branches, the Tsuba comes in a silk pouch and bears a mother of pearl inlaid seal that reads “Ryogetsu”.
