As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this most charming large bronze study of a boy feeding a goose , the boy stands with his right hand holding a wafer high in the air , he looks down and engages with the goose who’s neck is outstretched in anticipation of a feast , the youngster holds further wafers behind his back and out of sight of the goose , the relationship between the two appears engaging and probably a daily occurence , the artist has captured the detail of the story in a true Tokyo school style , the goose is unusually highlighted with gold and shakudo eyes , the pair stand on an oval base inset with a stamped signature seal that reads MASAAKI , a wonderful lifelike okimono !!
