As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this exceptionally well decorated Satsuma vase tastefully enamelled in the Imperial palette ,the large and imposing vase is decorated to the main body with numerous mythical male Ahrats, female characters and lucky gods going about their daily routines, it is further decorated with birds amongst finely detailed gilded clouds and heavily enamelled mountain landscapes & trees, there is just so much going on you could rotate it daily to a new scene, the neck is decorated in traditional geometric pattern and the nicely potted lobed base has similar geometric banding , the painting and gilding are as crisp as you could wish for , the vase has been nicely signed with a gilt seal to the underside .
