As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this delightful Edo period ivory Netsuke of a standing Horse , the Netsuke typical of the Kyoto school of carving during the Edo period, the Horses head  stoops  towards the floor where all four legs meet , the animals tail superbly carved as if swishing across his flank and forming a natural Himotoshi , this is an incredibly tactile Netsuke that has aged to a gorgeous mellow colour and patina , it is in wonderful condition throughout, no damages or restoration whatsoever !
