As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this Edo period  (1615-1868) circa 1850 Japanese Walrus  netsuke depicting Chokaro Sennin, modelled sitting upon a rocky outcrop wearing traditional robes covered in leaves, he is looking in to the sky with a humorous facial expression and carrying his large double gourd over his shoulder, although unsigned we attribute this piece to an artist called “Chogetsu” of Osaka, the himotoshi formed to the rear , a great addition to your Japanese Netsuke or works of art collection.
