As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this very tactile 18th Century ivory Netsuke of a Shi Shi dog , sometimes referred to as a Foo Dog , the finely carved animal is crouched upon all fours in a playful fashion with the Himotoshi located to his underside , the Dog is nicely and humerously  carved , he has all the attributes of a well handled and gorgeous coloured Netsuke from the Edo Period , a fine addition to your collection.

The condition is lovely with age related wear & age lines , no damages or restorations !
