As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this good quality Meiji period(1868-1912) Japanese stained Ivory Netsuke depicting a man in traditional Japanese Kimono and Smokers hat, seated smoking his pipe with a humorous expression, the other hand holding a Tonkotsu (tobacco pouch), there are remains of old collectors labels underside, ( the tag has subsequently been removed ) artist signed and translating to read “Masayuki”, a lovely addition to your Japanese Collection.
