As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality onlaid Bronze vase from the Meiji period (1868-1912) Circa 1890 , the heavy globular shaped vase is carved and decorated with onlaid mixed metals to depict a traditional Japanese scene , the artist has used heavily applied Silver and Shakudo alloys to represent Pine trees growing on a hillside setting, the trees lightly decorated with Gold flecks, a snow capped Mount Fuji sits in the distance with Birds in flight above and a mixed metal figure in a boat on the lake to the foreground , a highly decorative and good quality Mixed metal vase of the period, artist signed in a two character chiselled script to the rear translating to read Kiyomitsu , a fine addition to your Japanese works of art collection .
