As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912) circa: 1900 Ivory & Shibayama Netsuke depicting a Young boy ( Karako acrobat ), the young boy modelled seated clutching his feet and with a charming facial expression, his hair immaculately tied with a Mother of pearl top knot , further inlaid detail around the body with white Metal rings and various semi precious stones, the Himotoshi formed at the bottom and decorated with Mother of Pearl, artist signed underside with a red seal and a two character signature that translates to read ” Yasuaki”, a great addition to your Japanese works of art collection.
