As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this impressive floor standing Meiji Period 1868-1912 ceramic vase decorated in traditional Imari palette, the sumptuous decoration consists of a pair of opposing dragons writhing between bamboo and flora above crashing waves, one of the dragons decorated in gilt the other in a vibrant green and gilt, further geometric bands of flora encircle the neck and shoulders of this highly decorative vase with swags surmounting the inner rim, a stunning example of late 19th century Meiji period ceramics that has resided in a European noble household and remained in lovely condition, this impressive statement piece is now available to brighten up a room of your choice.
