As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this late Meiji / Taisho period 1868-1912/1912-1926 , circa 1920’s damascened Iron hinged trinket box , the black ground lid of this box has been decorated with a large Sea Eagle standing upon the branch of a Pine Tree to  , the sides further decorated with sprigs of Pine , opening the box reveals a bright gilded interior scene of a Mountainous lakeside setting , a heavy quality and useful lidded box that would make a great gift for a loved one or an ideal addition to your Japanese works of art collection .
