As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this unusual and obviously well handled Edo period (1615-1868) c1850 Ivory Netsuke depicting Raiden, he is modelled seated upon a well carved swirling cloud,  his legs crossed whilst holding his thunder drum, the side of the drum has some inlaid remains of what looks to be horn studs, the Netsuke appears unsigned although Raiden carries a written scroll to his rear , a very tactile well used Edo period Netsuke that would make great addition to your Japanese works of art or Netsuke collection.

Condition report:

In lovely used very tactile condition, some old losses to horn inlays to the side of the drum and possibly his eyes.
