As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this finely carved Edo Period 1615-1868 , circa 1780 Ivory seal form Netsuke , the carver has captured the common scene of an Oxen with Attendant , the attendant leans upon the beast cross legged with his hands over his Ears , possibly holding onto his Hat , the base of the Netsuke is nicely carved in low relief whilst the underside carries a deeply carved intricate script seal , the Himotoshi is formed at the rear of the piece , a very tactile and great colour 18th century Netsuke that would enhance your Netsuke or Japanese works of art collection , or make an ideal gift for a loved one .
