As part of our Japanese Works of art collection we are delighted to offer this nice quality Meiji period Ivory Okimono depicting the moment when the Samurai Warrior Ino Hayata slays the monster bird Nue, the artist has captured in great detail the moment the Samurai warrior tussles with and over powers the Monster bird, his body astride with his Katana in to the throat of the bird, the birds eyes inset in black jet, artist signed to the underside in a two character signature that reads “Tomotsugu”, a great little high quality Okimono for your collection .
