As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this Edo period (1615-1868) c 1730, Japanese Ivory Netsuke depicting a relaxed character (possibly Hotei) reclined upon a sack, the man wearing traditional robes lies upon a full treasure sack beside his small Dog, this is most likely a symbol of good luck or wealth, this Netsuke has been very well preserved and would be a great addition to your Japanese work of art or Netsuke collection.
