As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this finely carved Meiji period ( 1868 – 1912 ) circa 1890 Boxwood Netsuke depicting what appears to be a group of Karako dancers,  the characters are each wearing flowing robes and are folically challenged , the remaining hair combed and tied impeccably, some in top knots , they cling to each other in a crouched circle , the natural Himotoshi formed from the ring , another Netsuke from the same UK private collection and a great addition to your Netsuke or Japanese works of art collection .
