As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this finely carved Meiji period ( 1868 – 1912 ) circa 1890,  Boxwood Netsuke of a Sennin, the figure is shown seated upon a rocky outcrop, wearing robes made from leaves, whilst holding his staff in his left hand, the Himotoshi is formed from the rocky outcrop in various places, artist signed to the underside which translates to read “Gyokurintei “, a great addition to your Netsuke or Japanese works of art collection.
