As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this highly decorative Kutani model of a wise old Owl resting upon a tree stump , the Owls feathers detailed in purple and gilt enamels with vibrant blue and aqua details to the rear , the charming eyes are surrounded with gilded decoration as is the beak, he rests upon a golden brown tree stump decorated with a sprig of colourful flora to the front , with further aqua and black detailing and an unglazed base, the second of two Kutani birds being listed today from the same home.
